Hi, welcome to my website. I've been a cyclist since 1989 when I saw Greg Lemond. the only American to win the Tour de France, defeat Laurent Fignon, the great Frenchmen. I started racing bicycles officially in 1991 and upgraded to category 1 in 1999. Along the way I medaled at the Junior National Championship Road Race (17-18) in 1994. Shortly after upgrading to category 1 I finished 3rd in the Elite National Championship Road Race in Redding, California in 2001.
Since then my fitness has declined somewhat as I went through some life changes. Now I aim to get some fitness back and more importantly, enjoy the ride along the way. Cycling is fun, and always will be fun, and now I am happy to be able to enjoy cycling as I move forward with my life.
In addition to teaching Calculus and Algebra II during the day I've started a new venture, www.necycling.com, to feature grass roots racing in the New England region. I plan on making my way to some races next year and updating people on what's happening in the races after reaching out to some racing friends for race reports of their own.
Follow my journey as I work my way back to fitness!
