As my first day of juicing came to a close, BJT recommended I watch "Sick, Fat, and Nearly Dead," a documentary on juice dieter Joe Cross and his weight loss journey.

Sick, Fat, and Nearly Dead

This documentary is super inspiring. Joe, who was in his early 40s, as I am, was overweight. Throughout his weight loss journey he lost 90 lbs!

I think to myself, I'm about 80 lbs over my racing days, and while I don't have as much to lose as he does, "what if I lost that weight?"

That would be glorius!

My 1st Day Juicing

I don't plan or intend to go on as long of a juice fast as anyone on the video, just long enough to reset my body a little. That being said, I don't feel as bad as I thought I would after a day of juicing.

My hardest part was nearing lunch. After lunch though, it was fairly smooth sailing through the rest of the afternoon and evening.

I guess the only thing now, as I get ready for bed, is that my face feels warm, oddly enough.

The Weigh In

Another reason I've been motivated to go on this juice cleanse is that I have a weigh in tomorrow. It's time to step it up a notch.

In last weeks weigh in I actually gained about 2 lbs from my previous week, only bringing my net loss to 4 lbs or so, since the "biggest loser" competition began. That just wouldn't cut it.

As I have a penchant for winning and getting fit again I decided to really tighten the screws this week. I'm hoping my body responds accordingly.

weight loss

I will keep you tuned into my weight loss tomorrow.

It would be funny if I blog about it for months and my before and after are the same or I'm actually fatter in my after. That being said I do want to lose weight so I will have to resist my inner goofball and put forth a good effort.

Anyways, thanks for stopping by and I hope you found what you were looking for.
